Founded to close the enterprise technology gap in African insurance. Built by practitioners with deep financial, actuarial, and regulatory expertise across the continent.

CHAMP Solutions was founded on 2 July 2016 with a precise diagnosis of the problem: across 54 African nations, insurance carriers, pension administrators, and bancassurance providers were operating on fragmented legacy systems that could not support the scale, precision, or regulatory demands of modern financial services.
The founders — Andrew Acheampong-Kyei and Franck Diagou — had lived this problem from the inside. Andrew through years of enterprise partnership across West African financial institutions. Franck as CEO of NSIA Bank and NSIA Asset Management and as a trained actuary who had seen first-hand the cost of inadequate insurance data infrastructure.
Their solution was not to build something new. It was to bring the best existing platform to Africa — one already proven at scale in global markets — and secure the exclusive rights to do so. That platform was GLIMS, built on Oracle's enterprise database architecture by Axiom Inc. in the United States. CHAMP holds the sole distribution, implementation, and support rights across the entire African continent.
As an Oracle Gold Partner, CHAMP operates at the highest tier of technical certification, with engineers who understand the Oracle platform at the database layer — not merely as system integrators applying an out-of-the-box product.
Incorporated in Accra, Ghana (registration CSO960220) by Andrew Acheampong-Kyei and Franck Diagou with a mandate to modernise insurance operations across the African continent.
By agreement with Axiom Inc. (USA) and SoftMeans s.a.r.l., CHAMP became the sole authorised distributor of the GLIMS platform across all 54 African countries — a right that remains unique on the continent today.
CHAMP achieved Oracle Gold Partner certification, reflecting the engineering depth of its team and the Oracle-based architecture of the GLIMS platform — the same enterprise database trusted by the world's largest financial institutions.
Initial full-scope implementations delivered across West African insurance groups, validating the GLIMS platform against local regulatory environments, multi-currency requirements, and operational realities unique to the region.
Operations extended to East, Central, and Southern Africa — building presence, local regulatory knowledge, and implementation capacity across all regional blocs.

Developers of GLIMS. By exclusive agreement, Axiom Inc. has authorised CHAMP Solutions as the sole licensed distributor, implementer, and support provider for the entire African continent.
CHAMP was founded by two practitioners who understand both the financial mechanics of insurance and the technology required to run it at enterprise scale.
Co-Founder & Chairman
Andrew co-founded CHAMP Solutions with a singular conviction: that Africa's insurance sector deserved the same enterprise-grade technology as global financial markets. Drawing on extensive experience navigating West Africa's financial, regulatory, and technology landscape, he personally negotiated the exclusive continental rights to the GLIMS platform, establishing CHAMP as Africa's only authorised distributor. He leads board-level strategy, market expansion, and sovereign-level enterprise partnerships across the continent, engaging directly with regulators, insurance commissioners, and C-suite executives at institutions operating across multiple jurisdictions.
Co-Founder & Technical Director
Franck brings over 22 years of financial and operational expertise earned at the senior level across the United States, Canada, and Côte d'Ivoire. His career spans senior roles at Pfizer Canada, GPX International (as Group Director of Budget & Management Control), and NSIA Bank and NSIA Asset Management in West Africa, where he served as CEO. An actuary by training and a technologist by practice, he understands insurance operations at the level of the underlying financial models — not just the software interface. At CHAMP, he leads all technical architecture decisions, platform implementation strategy, and client delivery, ensuring that every GLIMS deployment is configured to match the precise actuarial, accounting, and regulatory requirements of each client.

CHAMP Solutions Team
Accra, Ghana — Insurance technology practitioners with deep African market expertise
We exist to eliminate the technology gap that holds African insurance markets back. Not through generic software, but through the world's leading insurance management platform, implemented with the depth of understanding that only a specialist African partner can provide.
"An African insurance industry where data silos do not exist, where underwriting to general ledger posting is entirely automated, and where executives have real-time visibility into every dimension of their operational health."
We envision an Africa where every insurer, pension administrator, and bancassurance provider operates with the same institutional quality of data, process, and financial control as their counterparts in the world's most developed markets — enabling the expansion of insurance penetration from 3% toward the levels that drive long-term economic resilience.
These are not corporate commitments written for a website. They describe the principles that govern how we make decisions, structure relationships, and evaluate our work.
We operate with absolute transparency — in our pricing, our capabilities, and our commitments. We tell clients honestly when GLIMS is the right fit, and when it is not.
We apply the same engineering rigour to a single-country deployment as we would to a pan-African rollout. Standards do not vary with contract size.
We are an African company solving African challenges. Our team understands local regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and operational constraints from the inside — not as adaptation from outside.
We continuously extend GLIMS capabilities to meet emerging needs — new lines of business, new regulatory requirements, new distribution channels — before our clients face pressure to act.
We build long-term institutional relationships. Our incentive structure aligns with our clients' long-term operational health, not with the short-term economics of a project close.
Every implementation we deliver contributes to the formalisation of insurance in Africa — expanding penetration, improving financial resilience, and enabling economic development.
Speak directly with the CHAMP team. We will evaluate your current systems, your growth objectives, and your regulatory environment — and tell you honestly how GLIMS fits.
